A must when using the remote

Not only has this improved my MacMINi's resolution when using the remote, it has also reduced latency. No more slow cursor movements or file openings!

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Band

Where other keys have failed, this one is here to help!

Where other buttons failed, this one succeeded right away! This is of course a higher price, but if you value stability and wanting it to work 100% of the time, it starts to make sense.

Pros
  • Worth the money
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

This keeps what it promises!

I made the mistake of buying one of those "cheaper" units that advertise the same specs but can't go beyond 1080p. Yes, that's double the price, but we're only talking about a few bucks. And when you need a key like this, knowing it just works is invaluable.

Pros
  • Happy so far
Cons
  • Short manual

The perfect way to see my MacMini desktop with screen sharing

I have an old MacMini from 2012 that I use as a file server. I use JumpDesktop to connect to it on my network. The screen on my iMac was always so "square" when looking at a MacMini desktop. I plugged in this HDMI connector and quickly connected to it. No installation etc. I was pleasantly surprised to see a normal 1080p screen size on my iMac. I'm glad I bought it.

Pros
  • Ultra-compact, flat design HDMI dummy
Cons
  • No instructions

Finally something that actually supports 4K (3840x2160)

I've tried many different "4K" headless adapters and almost all of them have been junk. IE only plays 4K on some devices. (In my case, none of the ones I've tried before work at 4K on my Macs, they usually hit 1080p at best). This one worked well at 3840 x 2160 and even allowed me to up the resolution to 4096 x 2160. Note. This device has 3840x2160. @ 30Hz for me (but that's enough for VNC/remote connection)

Pros
  • 3 year limited warranty on the latest technology
Cons
  • Unbelievable price

Work with. M1 Mac mini via VNC / Screen Sharing

On the advice of other reviewers, I was able to use this device to set up the M1 Mac mini for standalone operation with 4K screen resolution. That is, 1. Disable "System Preferences" > "Security & Privacy" > "FileVault". If I understand correctly, this allows the computer to boot to the point where screen sharing is enabled without prior authentication.2. Enable System Settings > Sharing > Screen Sharing. It is optional (?) to do the following: 2.a. Under "Computer Settings". Allowโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Reclaim all the power of your computer's GPU, remotely access your Mac or PC with native display support
Cons
  • boring packaging
