Required to replace a failed hybrid drive in an HP Split X2 laptop with an SFF-8784 connector. I've used this with an SSD to reinstall the OS and the laptop works fine.

My computer was able to recognize the hard drive, but it was too damaged to load files. They all settled on RAW files, but at least I have an adapter to try and send them in for recovery. Thank you!

Hp wants to be special and use branded spare parts. This adapter gave me back nvme instead of a slow mechanical drive in a hybrid laptop.

That worked great. I used it to connect a Western Digital Ultra Slim to my USB port on my computer to create a disc image. It worked without any problems. I'm glad I found this. Also: It comes with a SATA to USB cable, wasn't expecting this but was pleasantly surprised.

My HP Pavilion Split X2 (13-r010dx) performance got stuck in a WD5000M21K hard drive. SFF-8784 SSDs are rare and expensive, but this M.2 to SFF-8784 adapter allowed me to use an inexpensive M.2 SATA SSD.
