For the amount of $ for this watch I would not buy it again. I'm only keeping it because it's for my basement. That's very cheap. The metal is so thin that it seems to deform when you open the back to set the time or insert a battery.

This watch is good. It has a beautiful oxidized finish that makes it look decades old. It is easy to read and a worthy craftsman. The price is the only thing that makes it less than desirable. I think this watch is about $20 less than what I paid for it.

Nice watch and very accurate time...about 10 months. Now I've tried changing the battery several times (after testing it) and doesn't keep time. These weren't cheap watches. I was hoping it would stay on the coat for some time. Now I need to add a new movement.

The clock is a good size and can be seen from a distance which was exactly what I wanted when I was about to put it on the mantelpiece. The watch is made of metal and is impressively durable. I used the Harbor Freight blue alkaline Thunderbolt battery. Since I received the watch just over a week ago I have no complaints as it shows the perfect time for me.👍

Suitable for shabby chic interiors. Looks nice but not good quality. The glass front is good, but the metal edges are roughly joined. 2 weeks after the purchase, the battery (brand AA Kirkland) that I put in the watch literally exploded. I've never seen this before. It wasn't corrosion, it was a complete explosion. I replaced the battery, cleaned the back and the watch seems to work fine. Hopefully it was just a weird thing and possibly a bad battery (not the watch itself).

For 28 years we have had a Sligh complete movement watch that stopped working and the service/repair costs far exceeded the value of the watch. My wife chose Nikky Home's antique mantel clock as an inexpensive replacement and I have to say they look great. The price is very affordable and overall we are very happy with the purchase. That being said I'm of course OCD about things being flat and vertical and the only criticism I have of this watch is that the numbers 12 and 6 aren't exactly…
