Very good compact camera

When I bought this camera for my son's (14 year old) birthday present I was looking I then got a small, inexpensive, fairly solid camera with good image quality that uses AA batteries. I read a lot of reviews and decided on this model. We haven't had it that long, but it seems to work well, and the hinged area that stores the batteries and memory card seems a bit sturdier than my Canon Powershot, which I have to attach with a piece of tape. So frustrating!

If I could give this camera 0 stars, I would. I bought it about 6 months ago to use in blogging. I blog about beauty products just for fun and needed a basic camera to take photos of small objects for review. This camera is garbage. 90% of my photos are either black or white screen. I have to delete hundreds of photos at once to weed out one useful photo. I really wish I could just get a refund. This camera doesn't focus on anything, sometimes it uses flash and sometimes it doesn't, sometimes…

Better than expected

After reading previous reviews I was wary of buying the Coolpix L28. But I really like my Coolpix L120 so I decided to take the risk and buy L28 because I need something really portable. I made sure I ordered a class 10 memory card. Slower cards (class 4 etc.) take longer to capture an image and save the image. The latency with my class 10 card is only about a second or 2 at most.
