Good camera but focusing too slow to capture moving shots

Right player head. Loading time doesn't matter, in low light, with a moving subject, forget it, you'll never take a picture. In low light conditions, the camera focuses very slowly. Plus, you'll find just about anything indoors or under cloudy skies and low light conditions. So you don't have to capture an impromptu nighttime attraction or follow zoo animals on a cloudy day etc. Overall a good camera for photography but it needs to have very fast storage to use video mode and there is no low…

MINOR PROBLEMS Best in Camera & Photo

THIS CAMERA HAS A LARGE BRIGHT SCREEN BUT NO VIEWFINDER. I HAVE NEVER USED A NON-CAMERA CAMERA AND NEED SOME TIME TO START SCENE CREATION. ALSO, THE MODE DIAL IS EASY TO TURN, SO I HAVE TO CHECK ITS SETTING EVERY TIME I TAKE THE CAMERA FROM MY BAG TO TAKE A PHOTOGRAPHER. GREAT AND FEELS GOOD TO HOLD; STRONG, GOOD ASSEMBLY. SOME PICTURES ON MY WEBSITE BUT MOST ARE TAKEN WITH MY NIKON D70 AND NIKON D200. [.]update: I sold this camera to my son-in-law. After all, the lens cover did not open…

Good little camera for point and shoot digital cameras

Really like this camera. The Wi-Fi feature is fun, but I don't know how handy it is. I love the massive image size and the fact that it has internal storage which allowed me to start shooting right away. Boot times are a little slow, but there's nothing wrong with that. I'm used to my big semi-pro camera, which is also 8-megapixel and instead is handy to just slip into a pocket or purse on the go. The zoom is satisfactory too, although I wouldn't recommend digital zoom on any camera, just take…

Shine in simplicity

I have had a Nikon Coolpix P1 digital camera for over a year now. This was my first digital camera and I am very happy with its performance. Being from Florida I should mention that my P1 held up well in the rain, wind and fog too! The Coolpix P1 has 16 different modes (and more additional sub-modes!) for quick image capture. There's also an AUTO mode with smart flash and self-timer options for quick shots (at 14,000 feet just before skydiving, or to capture Shamu's late-night antics :)). Some…

Worth the money when new

I bought this camera at a new lower price ($150 less). For the price, this camera is definitely worth the money. Photographically, the camera is excellent. 8-megapixel photos that look great, great flexibility for different scenes, and fairly fast shutter speeds are the highlights. The camera has some trouble focusing in the dark, especially when you're zoomed in and the subject is too far away. The only real issue I had was setting up the Wi-Fi feature. I consider myself a fairly literate…
