PROS: wide, wide, wide, inexpensive, CONS: heavy, but vr. I recommend the HB-1 lens hood as the glass is directly in front of the lens and is sharper (but heavier) than either version of the 28-85mm AFI lens. Star deducted for weight.
The lens came with a scratch on the front lens, the connector was dirty. I would go if the lens came as described. The return was safe and the company was very accommodating.
The description of this lens was wrong. This is auto focus, not manual focus. This is an auto focus lens for Nikon cameras that have a focus motor in the camera body. Lens condition: like new. I haven't tried it yet, but I'm sure there won't be any problems with it. But like most zoom lenses, I know it won't be as sharp as a prime lens can be.
I like this lens. I bought it on Craigslist for $70 from another photographer who doesn't need it. I love shooting with this lens considering I have a Nikon D70. The lens will automatically focus at some points depending on what you're shooting at. Thus, it works in both manual and automatic modes. At first, the viewfinder might give the impression that the photo is blurry, but if you tap the shutter button lightly, it will focus for you.
I came here to read what some people have to say about the Nikkor 35-135 F3.5-4.5, MANUAL FOCUS. YES, MANUAL FOCUS. VERSION AF, IDIOTS. but it's getting me really hot because we talk Chevrolet on a lot of forums and these idiots are starting to respond with Toyota stuff. WHY? .but those donkeys come back and change the subject again.oh god.guys.
