Official Joycon Charger - skip

*Update*12/24/19: The price hasn't dropped YET. They're still looking for that thing. I got less tired of third party developers to support the controller. There is currently a grip on the market that includes a built in battery that automatically charges the joycons for less than half the price and they obviously read this review and designed their grip with a large gap between the joycons. There are a few things/misconceptions to note

First, yes, you can charge it through the wall. The Nintendo Switch docking station power adapter can be used with the Joy-Con charger. Second, the Joy-Con charger (mine at least) needs to come with a USB to USB-C cable. This cable can be used with a power bank to charge your Switch! Third, you don't need to connect the cable to the Nintendo Switch dock to charge it. If it's a high-power USB port, it's most likely charging Joy-Cons that are plugged into the charger. Please read it!

You can charge this from a wall outlet, you can even use the cable that comes with the switch, no need to play to charge it. I don't know why they lie about it but it is, I literally plugged it into my wall and it works great. I charged my two happy cons within five hours of receiving them and plugging them into the wall.
