The product is not the same as in the photo, the box is all in Japanese and it does not work even when I connect it to the ethernet cable, I bought it for Nintendo Switch (under the impression it works) and I'm in the same boat I was in before I got this

I bought this because I was worried that non-original ones would not work properly. Received mine in a WiiU package. However, the OEM is still new and works great on both my Wii and WiiU. This is obviously a stock photo, but be aware you are receiving an OEM Nintendo item. Can be in Japanese packaging or in English. Just know it's OEM 👍

The product image shows the packaging of the Wii power adapter. However, it was actually a Wii U power adapter with a sticker saying it worked on the Nintendo Switch. Even stranger, it's in Japanese. (Not Chinese, as many claim). But despite the inaccuracy, this is still an official Nintendo product. It worked well and is easy to use.
