Niteangel Hamster Sand Bath Dust Review

Package arrived very quickly! The item is quite large so maybe a little overkill for my little dwarf hamster but should be ok anyway. The wood is super soft to the touch and it even comes with a cute little feeding plate! Before you buy, make sure you have room for this big boy. I have a previous cage so it will be fine. The kit even included a small piece of sandpaper to get rid of the roughness. I thought it was a very nice touch

Very well made and my Syrian loved it. The only thing I would like is a choice of sizes. I have one of the Niteangel cages for my hamster as well as several other Niteangel skins. The area of the cage is about 776 inches. Along with everything in it, this sand bath took up a good 1/4 of the cage. My hamsters are big girls now and they definitely need bigger things but this sand tub is ridiculously big. After spending a week there I replaced it and gave it to my degu instead. They love it! We needed a few modifications for our purposes. I was going to put a large Niteangel wheel on it but it didn't fit so we made some quick cuts and I used some 3M velcro strips that were used to attach photo frames to the walls to secure the wheel in place hold (it moved to). many other things!). The bottom gets uncomfortable at some point as it's made of wood, but it's great that my ham can chew on it! We have a small playpen in our living room and our children often bring a Syrian hamster or two there when they are awake during the day (never both, of course!). We have several NiteAngel products including a sandbox and a large six room maze house located in the arena. They're both well built and durable, but not overly expensive. Hamsters love both items! They love to dig in the sand and the high sides of the sandpit greatly prevent sand from splashing out. There are other places to sleep in

I bought this for my Campbell Russian dwarf hamster who loves sand. This is a very large sandbox and I filled it with 2 inches (about 3 pounds) of reptile sand. She is too small to get in or out unaided. I had to use a curved walkway to get into the sandpit and another hamster toy to help her climb onto part of the food bowl.
