What a rip off; $40 for a flimsy cable lock

This is a flimsy cable lock for portable electronics and that's it. Instead of a Kingsten slot, the ultra slim Dell Inspiron and XPS laptops use this smaller slot (referred to as the Noble slot) and the powerful, inexpensive, and versatile locking cables do not fit in the slot. You can get a great Kingsten wire lock for $10-$12, with either keys or a combination lock. Unfortunately, if your PC/Mac has a smaller slot, you have no choice but to buy it. Modest level of security mainly due to theft of simple products

Before you buy this or any other laptop lock product, make sure you have the appropriate standard. At the last moment we found that the old Kensington lock didn't work with our new Dell laptops. We bought a lock"wedge". This product is a very light keyed locking system. Anyone very determined with time and the right tools can bypass this security. But it should stop sticky fingertips. Good. Might be more reliable.

I have used this with my 2015 XPS 13 and it works very well. I like the access speed with a key compared to a 4 digit combination lock. I find it comparable to the $20 Kensington locks I've bought and for the relative cost of other Noble Wedge locks it seems pretty good. Lock: Insert the lock into the connector (no key required), slide the slider forward. The push handle is too small in my opinion. It's too easy for me to run my finger over it without fully locking the lock, but my only…
