I chose black as the transition between the tiled kitchen floor and the linoleum utility room because my Roomba 770 got stuck there all the time. There is also an outside door to a utility room where the Florida sand comes in. This rug does not appear to reflect infrared radiation. Roomba thinks she's about to go over the edge because her sensors can't see the floor anymore. Otherwise this is a very good rug.
