Made in USA of polypropylene, a BPA-free and Melamine-free plastic. Color is white with light gray speckles. Great reusable alternative to wasteful disposable dinnerware; use again and again. Will not chip, crack or shatter. Great for families and meals on the go. Measures 10"L x 10"W x 0.88"H; includes 4 plates. Use & Care 1. Before initial use, hand wash with warm, soapy water. 2. For microwave use only. 3. Top rack dishwasher safe. 4. Use of sharp metal utensils on this product may scratch surface appearance but will not affect performance. 5.Important Note: Recommended for microwave reheating only. Cooking foods with high fat content may overheat and damage the plate.Do Not cook foods on plates in microwave packaging that aides in browning or crisping such as Hot Pockets, packaged popcorn, and pizza. Pot Pies are also not recommended.

Degraded Quality

I bought a set of these plates and bowls over ten years ago. Use them regularly, they were perfect. Yes, they got dirty, but there were knife cuts. So I didn't use knives or sauces on them. After three children I still have a plate. So I ordered a new set. The same brand and looked the same. The moment I got them, I knew they were worse. Thinner. And indeed all immediately distorted. So today, 2 years later, I decided to order another set. Then I remembered how annoying that last sentence wasโ€ฆ

I bought my first set of 4 in 2016.

Photo 1 after almost 6 years of daily use, photo 2 is my new kit. I'm still using my first set of 4 that I received in 2016. Actually I decided to buy a second set of 4 because my mother was placed in a nursing home near my house and my aunt and uncle were her brought to my house for dates. I needed a few extra plates in addition to my 4. I'll say I almost always put thin paper plates on top, especially when I'm having something with red sauce. My plates are microwaved regularly and used dailyโ€ฆ

Plastic equivalent to paper plates

These plastic plates come in very handy when not serving guests or eating serious gourmet meals. They are intended for heating food in the microwave, not for cooking per se. Microwaving them too long at high heat can catch fire. (This happened to me earlier in the last batch. I was able to avert a disaster by simply turning the microwave off immediately and waiting for the oven activity to die down before opening it.) They're plastic and off-white, but I have them now areas. reddish-brown color
