Description of 🌰 Norpro Silver Nutcracker with Picks - Quality Tool for Cracking Nuts (1 EA)

The handy nut cracker measures 4.75"/12cm and each pick measures 4.5"/11.5cm. These beautifully textured tools are ideal for eating crab, lobster, shellfish and all types of nuts. Textured surface on both the spring-action cracker and the picks prevents the cracker and picks from slipping in your hands. Picks are helpful when you need to remove meat from the shell. Reinforced hinge for additional strength. Sturdy metal tools are easy to clean.

THEY LOOK like real nutcrackers

THEY LOOK like real nutcrackers, but: They are too small to use them for almonds and hazelnuts yourself. The teeth are blunt and don't dig into the nut's shell to keep it from moving. One of the two I bought broke within the first 15 minutes. Not even worth considering.

Nutcrackers - Cute: Nutcrackers

I love this style of nutcrackers and are hard to find now with all the fancy ones on the market. This is a great little tool and I love the picks that come with it. . Qualitatively made, I recommend to everyone! I have four walnut trees, so I use them every day with no problems!

The nutcracker is small and not very strong

I bought it for a pickaxe, not a nutcracker, so I'm happy. The selection is pretty much what I expected and wanted. Luckily I already have a much older nutcracker of the same style, but they are bigger and stronger than the Norpro. I haven't tried it, but it just seems brittle.

Pros
  • household and kitchen
Cons
  • sad packaging

Cast iron trash. on Specialty Tools & Gadgets

Much cheaper quality than the ones I grew up with which were the same design. The illustration shows what happens when nuts are cracked with brittle cast iron. So if all you have is pecans, walnuts, and other soft, brittle nuts that you can just mash up with your fingers or hands, this will work, but why would you? Are they necessary when your hands can already do the work? If you have stronger nuts, they will break. So buy another brand, this is complete rubbish.
