Too small. on fondant and gum paste molds

These are a quality product but they were too small to do what I wanted to do. When you get them, make sure you order at least four or five sets. I bought them to make cream cones. The horns were too small and I could only do six at a time. Not what I expected but still a good product if you want to do something really small.

Pros
  • Beautiful
Cons
  • Exorbitant price

Beware of rust in pastry and baking tins

They worked great. They were the size I expected. I bought these to make butter cones for a Thanksgiving recipe, so I used them once last year. When I took them out this year, they were covered in rust spots all over. Just remember to dry them completely before storing I think. I thought they were dry when I put them on.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • May damage

A little bit small. suitable for confectionery and baking tins

We bought these puff pastry cream cones. They are very well suited for this, but I have to admit that I was a bit disappointed with the size. You are tiny! Another issue for me was that the "mouth" is slanted and not flat so you can't make them stand like a pyramid/cone. But a good product and it served its purpose. Albeit on a smaller scale.

Pros
  • Excellent price
Cons
  • Almost everything is ok

Good but small casserole dish

I bought these because I saw a cream cone recipe that uses a store bought puff pastry sheet and encases this type of metal bag. They work well for this recipe. However, they are smaller and shorter than I expected. For the price I think it's a good buy. I just wanted a bigger size. I also think they would be good for packaging mini waffle bags.

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Easily repairable

Tiny Cream Cone Molds

There should be 6 Stainless Steel Cream Cone Molds per pack. They are so tiny that I was very surprised. Also, there are 7 in the pack instead of 6. They are difficult to work with and are probably not the same size as pastry cream bags. In any case the product is well made for what it is and stainless steel cannot be beat. I've seen tinned shapes that struck me as a very bad idea. I'll probably keep an eye out for bigger ones.

Pros
  • Cool
Cons
  • Secret

Real bakers get past these

I'm just a hobby baker so I bought these inexpensive metal molds to try out some cream croissant recipes. This is definitely not the quality you want if you want to make stuffed horns on a regular basis: they are very thin and have rough edges at the seams. But if you just want to experiment a bit without making a big investment, then that's fine. I used ready-made puff pastry, cut into strips, to wrap around the croissants and then let them cool for the custard filling. Unfortunately the shape

Pros
  • A dream come true
Cons
  • Not everything fits
