🔌 Optimized Retail Package: HP North American Power Charger for HP TouchPad Review

After booting Android to the touchpad using CyanogenMod (10.1), I noticed that USB charging does not work when the battery is very low. This charger worked great, although it was funny to note that the included USB cable was adorned with the Blackberry logo. I think we should use them for something now. The dealers' services were excellent; Delivery was very prompt. Thanks very much!

This is the exact same charger that came with the HP touchpad. You cannot use a USB charger for touchpads as it requires higher power to charge properly. However, this charger does an excellent job of charging my phone. Pros: Small size and AC pins folds into a neat package. Cons: It's cylindrical and a bit thick, so it doesn't easily fit in a rectangular bag. Of course, it also rolls off the tables. ;)Overview: Works well, but a bit clunky.

Generally, my touchpad is charging. However, I sometimes have the problem that the touchpad does not register that it is plugged in when it is plugged in. Sometimes I need to plug the connector back into the touchpad, sometimes I need to plug the cord back into the base of the connector, and sometimes I need to plug the connector back into the outlet. The touchpad takes longer to charge than a wireless charger, but it does the job in the end.

Big mistake. Received on time and in original packaging from HP. The wire made a crackling noise when first used and now my tablet is completely dead, the rubber coating has dried and cracked. Totally destroyed my HP 10" tablet. Very upset and didn't respond to anyone. I purchased this unit after my HP touch tablet told me I needed an OEM charger to charge efficiently. I ordered this product and it worked as intended and normally fully charges my tablet within 2 hours of plugging it into standby. However, you don't need an OEM charger to fully charge your tablet. If you're using an aftermarket charger, you can just turn off the tablet completely and leave it plugged in for about 2 days. I have two of these to charge various USB devices that require a 2 amp output; I am not using the HP product it is intended for. I picked it because it looked like it could only take up one spot on the PSU and 3 weeks ago when I bought it the price was only $8.99 from another vendor/made by Revain.
