Install my Eton FRX2 in batteries

The original battery lasted about 6 years with moderate use. Bought a new battery, connected it, already charged. Let's see how long this lasts

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Update available

Get What You Order - Phone Accessories

I ordered 3.6V 300mAh; what i get was 3.6 210 mah. I use them in a G gauge deck. They will work, but they won't sit still for long after being turned off.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Some Small Items

Clockwork Radio Bean and I am pleased to report that

I purchased this battery to replace my LLBean Clockwork Radio and I am pleased to report that this comes with the easy cable swap , mentioned in the previous review. , works perfectly! Good thing I have a living little radio/flashlight again!

Pros
  • Special Offer
Cons
  • is Definitely Bad Product

Perfect fit for the clock radio from ETON!

As already written in the previous review, ideal for ETON clockwork radio/flashlight. However, as another reviewer pointed out, you MUST swap the positive and negative wires before connecting the radio. This is easy to do with a small watch screwdriver. Just make sure the wires are in the same orientation as the original you are removing. PERFECT!

Pros
  • also understandable for the old ones
Cons
  • Bad instructions

Why are the cables reversed?

I bought this for my LLBean NOAA emergency light/radio. I've read posts about "swapping" the red and black wires. I thought the white plastic plug would open at the hinge or seam, but it doesn't. It is difficult. Finally I squeezed the white plastic which opened up the holes a bit and released the wires. I was then able to pull out the cables and swap them. I would give this product 5 stars but I don't understand why the wires are reversed. Was it an LLBean configuration or an Empire problem…

Pros
  • As everyone still does
Cons
  • Makes me nervous

Replacing Eton Scorpion when replacing wires.

Works great in the Eton Scorpion emergency light/radio *AFTER* the wires in the plug have been swapped. A small screwdriver inserted from the back (perpendicular to the wires) loosened the contact retainer, allowing the contact to be pulled out by pulling on the wire. Be careful not to touch the two pins/wires and reinsert the pins in the opposite position into the connector. The battery is now ready for use at Eton! The Eton Scorpion has a small battery access panel on the side that is secured

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Appearance
