Absolutely awful to use with liquid silicone sealant!

I was expecting a stiffer fiber product. This is a very stretchy fabric. I've used it with a silicone roof roller that's about $300 for a 5 gallon bucket. As it dried, this material curled, wrinkled, blistered, and crumpled. I had to rip off over 1/4 of it and buy more FIBERGLASS seam tape to fix my new roof.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Easy to work with painting materials and tools

The thickness of this weave allows you to minimize the necessary overlap of layers0. The fabric feels very strong, yet is pliable, not stiff, making it easy to wrap corners. I used this product after another famous similar product ran out of Mapei Aqua Defense. Nova Fiber was easier to apply and absorbed the liquid membrane product better than the first product used. I will definitely be using this on my next, larger shower project.

Pros
  • Decent performance

Good price for tape

Bought a shower sealing product especially for alcoves. Filled with a liquid waterproofing membrane. Nova-Fiber appears to be on par with other much more expensive products. As far as I know, Nova-Fiber doesn't market itself as a waterproof material; I've only used it based on anecdotal evidence. The shower isn't ready yet, so I can't check yet. However, the fabric was very easy to cut and shape into corner and side shapes; It absorbed liquid easily, stuck to the cement board, didn't wrinkle or

That's it! for masking tape

Used Nova Fiber tape on all joints in shower screen, shower cubicle, curb, knee wall and corners; along with Red Guard waterproofing. Worked great as Sal Diblasi from Elite Tile, North Shore Boston demonstrated on You Tube. Thank you Sal! Photos taken before Red Guard was applied to the rest of the wall/floor/bench. A 75 foot roll of Nova-Fiber wasn't enough for this project. Had to order a second roll to finish. As a DIY enthusiast for several years, so glad something works exactly as it…

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • The list will be long.

Works very well with Redguard

In a way I wish the weave was a little more open so it could wrap around odd shapes better, but a regular standard shower works great. I pre-ironed the inside and outside corners I made as well as the long corners, this makes tucking away much easier (don't iron directly, iron with a shirt, towel over fabric as you will find). I did a test with 1 coat of red protect on Duroc and this fabric with a puddle of water and it stayed there for several days. One roll had a folded edge at the start of…

Pros
  • Solid construction

  • Almost never
