The NTE Electronics stranded wiring is a must-have for any industrial and scientific project. The wiring is strong and durable, capable of withstanding intense heat and friction. Used to make custom length computer power cords. I find 18 AWG to be the perfect gauge for this application, and the insulation works well with the paracord braid I use.

I use NTE stranded wire for all my computer construction and wire insulation projects. Tinned copper wire for a secure connection when soldering twin wires/splices. The black insulation has a matte finish; The flexibility is ideal for PC cabling as it is neither rigid nor too brittle. If I had to find a defect, I would say that its "blackness" is not as rich as that of a black shiny wire. This is of course a subjective preference; I don't find it aesthetically problematic.
