We have 2 of these sets for our little one. You deal with them easily. The fork is almost like a spatula, so we usually use a fork unless it's something very liquid (like soup). The tongs aren't very sharp, which is good for safety, but is a little tiring when picking certain foods. Overall good for the price and recommended for small hands.

Tried some dishes for my one year old son. So far these are my favourites. He can hold her easily. He hasn't quite learned how to eat by himself yet, but it's great for learning. In addition, the spoon has a shape suitable for the youngest. I love that it looks like a real spoon and fork to use later on the road. Easy to clean and safe. So far there are no problems.

I've tried at least 10 of these sets and this is the best I've found. The fork is sharp enough to actually pierce and pick up food, which doesn't pose the slightest hazard to little hands/mouths. The grip angle is large and my daughter was fine with it. The slope/depth of the spoon is deep enough to actually carry food without slipping out. This kit has survived 1.5 years of intensive use with us without any signs of wear. I'm buying another set for baby number 2 here.

Great fork. As mentioned, it's a fork that holds a decent amount of food and allows a child to pierce many (though not all) foods without being sharp. I will buy a sharper one when my child is a bit older. However, the spoon is about the same size as an adult teaspoon, only it's wider and therefore too big for my toddler's small mouth.
