WOW, what a light!: Safety

This thing will make a scorpion glow like a 1000w Christmas tree. If you're buying a new home, run this lantern if you want to see how clean everything is. Works like a CSI UV lamp. Excellent purchase!

Pleasant UV light for torches

Pleasant UV light. I use it to find UV dye placed in automotive systems to find leaks. It's bright enough and has a big enough beam to work very well. It's way better than some of the smaller pen light versions I've tried.

Cons
  • Unfashionable

Works great!: Safety

Wow, this really works! We have moved into a new house, all bedrooms are carpeted. Previous owners had dogs but the carpets were in fair condition. I was able to spot the stains so easily and then use the carpet cleaner! Excellent work! Love it!

Cons
  • Only available in black

Works but drains battery

Works well but drains battery too quickly. I've only turned it on 4 times and I've already had 6 batteries dead. Requires 3 batteries for power. The rest works well and pleasantly. I use it for my crafts so I really need it to work properly. Consider getting a charger because rechargeable batteries also cost money and it's a waste of time to just throw them away because I need them when there are a lot of them.

Cons
  • Hard to tell

GREAT VALUE for safety

This light can give false alarms from soapy water but is VERY good at detecting biological residue. I have to recommend this product to housekeepers EVERYWHERE. Much better than the old neon lights I ALWAYS carried to inspect every hotel room before unpacking my bags. You should have seen the face of a hotel manager when he asked for new pillowcases because of obscene filth. Many hotels felt flattered when I complimented them with excellent cleanliness.

Does NOT collect cat urine

Thought it would work well if our kitten had an accident. The product description even shows a flashlight that finds cat and dog urine. Did some research and everyone agrees that 395 nm isn't strong enough to find urine. The product specs say 385-395nm, which is oddly vague. If you're trying to find ultraviolet/black light to find urine, I'd skip this false advertisement. Not sure why there are reviews claiming it worked for their animals. Just be safe and get 365nm light. I found one that…
