Oakley Mens Blade Backpack Black Backpacks Review

Bought this for my son when he started his sophomore year at HS. He's now halfway through his junior year and this pack is holding up great. In fact, MUCH better than expected. He constantly carries around a TON of books and folders until nothing else fits. With all the weight and the way he stuffs it I would expect the stitching to rip but the pack still looks brand new. The seams are perfect, the zippers are perfect. Great bag and worth the money.

Nice looking bag, love how the main compartment zips open. I packed 3 long sleeve shirts, 3 pants, 3 pairs of socks and boxer shorts in this backpack. There were also 2 laptops, a diary and all the little pockets filled with essentials. The main reason I bought it was for a 3 day trip because I didn't want to take my suitcase with me. Excellent backpack. I bought it to carry my laptop and peripherals and it works well for that. Plenty of pockets to store cables, mouse, headphones etc. The 2 star rating is due to the item received being very different from what was advertised. The picture clearly shows a two-tone black and red backpack. You get a solid red box with a contrasting black Oakley logo. Also, as many other reviewers have pointed out, the pictured "dry bag" is not included with the backpack.

This is a well made backpack as you would expect from the Oakley brand. I am very happy with the purchase, although I have a small "complaint". I wish the zipper on the second compartment was on the other side. I usually carry my backpack on my right shoulder. So when I want to take something out of the extra compartment, I slide it to open, but the zipper is on the other side, so when I open it, things want to fall out. You just have to go left I think. Otherwise there are no complaints.

The thought wasn't big enough. The bottom expands a bit to fit my iPad Air, 1 x 30oz shaker, 2 x 32oz REI water bottles, 1 x 10" chef's knife, 1 x 8" chef's knife, 1 x 4.5" vegetable peeling knife, all knives with blade guards, a pair of CD cases, a pair of socks, 2 Under Armor shirts, a book, a notepad. I just received the bag and I have to say I like it. Yes, there are a few things I would like to point out to others. The chest buckle is adjustable and stretchy, so I'm not sure how tight you can buckle it, but the up and down adjustment is great. When wearing it I noticed that the back is not very well ventilated (yes I know it's a backpack), didn't even think about it. I really like how stiff the bag is, yet still has a bit of pliability.
