🧺 Oatey 38569 Quadtro Washing Machine: Efficiency and Performance Combined Review

Great product. Installation is fine, be very careful to protect all plastic parts from hearing when soldering (sweating) copper connections together.

perfect fit and great value for money. Not an "easy" install unless you're willing to do a little PVC or copper pipe work and fix a little drywall to cut out an old box, but if you're good at it... it works great. Very happy with the results.

Each valve is approximately 1/2" raised Platform, valves and drain can be placed in any order in any of the three holes. We used the center drain hole. Raised valves make it easy to connect the washing machine water hoses, ours is exactly as described and works perfectly.

This washer/laundry box worked great! Was a little hesitant as others complained about the copper tubing sweating on it, but I planned on sweating the ends of the tube interior to my tubes first and then attaching them to the valves. Luckily this box has valves that can be sweated and/or twisted. Which I can highly recommend. I also like that you can move the position of each valve and/or drain pipe to anywhere you like.

I had to move the outlet 12 inches to the left as part of a laundry renovation and it looked like the perfect outlet box. I was concerned about soldering the tube to sockets with a plastic fitting, but found another review that suggested wrapping the top of the fitting with a damp rag while the tube was soldered to the bottom of the fitting. This worked great for me and after watching the videos on "soldering copper pipes" everything was fine.

Crappy plastic box design and even worse product box labeling. .Guess what? - Model 38569 has 1/2" male AND 1/2" female threads on hot and cold connections. You'd never know it from a box labeled "Copper Sweat Connection". The photo in the corner of the box is legal and shows a 1/2" male thread; you only have to be Sherlock Holmes to find out that it is suitable for 1/2" pipe/PEX threaded connections. Thread; You only have to be Sherlock Holmes to find out that he is capable of making threaded pipe connections / PEX 1/2 "I wasted my time buying another box as I didn't have my lantern with me.
