Arrived damaged and not working. screen busy!

Item arrived damaged, box broken in many places. I took photos. The item was used but looked worn and damaged in many places, the metal had many dents and the screen had many scratches. I was expecting a used item but didn't almost hit it in the trash. The metal case is dented and not working. returned and awaiting a full refund.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Poor instructions

Not a genuine Apple product but works

This is not a genuine Apple product, you can tell the build quality isn't the same. You can notice that the LCD/Wi-Fi wiring is re-soldered. The font/spacing in the wording "macbook Air" is also different from the original Mac product. Not sure how long this display will last, but it looks like the brightness and resolution/dpi are the same. The anodized aluminum finish is pretty close too. Overall, this is a cheaper alternative to the original product, but it doesn't look like it will last as…

MacBook Air 2017, model A1466, etc. 3178

After much deliberation I got this from Odyson at a good price, much cheaper than if I had to buy it from Apple. ifixit site and corrected itself. Everything went smoothly, the screen looked good, there is not much difference to say that this is not the original screen. was too small and probably needed a magnifying glass to see and correct properly. Wifi was too slow as the cable wasn't properly secured. I had it repaired at a local shop and it worked fine. item at a lower price.

Pros
  • Test results consistent
Cons
  • Negative result present

Great price, quality Part

This is excellent value for money, especially when compared to the Apple replacement. Image quality and brightness appear to be the same as the original screen. In addition, the built-in webcam outputs images at eye level with the original. If it is not an OEM part, it cannot be determined. Before installing, remove the clutch cover (black plastic strip) and make sure the screws that attach the hinges to the display are tight. The screen I received wobbled a bit after the initial installation…

Great replacement for a damaged MacBook Air screen

My daughter closed her Macbook Air while the ring was on the keyboard. It cracked the screen and I was looking for a $600+ repair. I've repaired quite a few iPhones over the past few years so I decided to try my hand at screen replacement. You need special tools, so do your research there. Some of the screws on the underside of the case are difficult to remove. I had to drill one out and of course you have to be very careful to remove all metal parts before opening the case. It wasn't a repair…

  • Comfortable to use

  • I won't say anything

Display exchange + fast shipping!

I bought this screen for my mid 2013 MacBook Air A1466 13 inch model after opening it one morning and realizing the screen was broken. After refusing, it's easy to pay at least $600 at the Apple Store (mind you, it's out of warranty and also passed the Apple Care guarantee). I figured I could replace it myself for a fraction of the cost since I build a PC as a hobby and figured a MacBook wouldn't be much different and boy did I make the right decision! First of all, this screen arrived FOUR…
