feels the same on the skin as the original

I have used the original Purity on and off for years. It is a lovely and luxurious facial cleanser that I very much recommend. As I have gotten older my skin has become more sensitive. I can't use lotions or hand soaps with scents and I even had to stop dying my hair due to sensitive skin and skin reactions. I was thrilled to get to try this oil free Purity to see if it was more gentle on my more sensitive skin. The look of this is a clear gel. The feel of this as I cleanse my face is almost…

Pros
  • This product feels great, doesn’t strip my face dry, and doesn’t have an awful smell.
Cons
  • Not suitable for those with extremely dry skin

ANOTHER PRODUCT LEAKED!

Seal missing lid halfway off and all product was in envelope! This keeps happening! The Prime Membership is being cancelled. I threw right in the garbage! Smelled like pure alcohol and had hazy look to it!

Pros
  • Non-greasy texture that glides on smoothly
Cons
  • Ingredients may not be suitable for those with allergies

Clean Feeling - my new review

When a trusted, established brand has an oil free cleanser that is a product to try and this one worked out great. It gives a clean, fresh feeling after cleansing. I tried it with a sonic brush and then with a make up cloth and both experiences with the cleanser was trouble free. This left my skin refreshed and clean. No breakout and no side effects. I followed up with moisturizer.

Pros
  • Can be used all over the face, including the eyes and lips
Cons
  • Might not work well for those who wear a lot of sunscreen

Maybe A Little Too Squeaky Clean

The first Philosophy product I ever tried years ago was Purity Made Simple, but it was for all skin types, and it was a pale yellow color, and more like a lotion. This Purity Made Simple Oil Free is for Combination/Oily Skin, and is a pearlescent gel.It left my skin with a visible shine after I used it, maybe feeling a little too clean, and a little stripped. I do have sensitive skin.I think I will stick with the Original Purity Made Simple. This may work better for those people who do have oily…

Pros
  • Face
Cons
  • Doesn't lather as much as some people prefer

A little goes a long way!

You do not need to use a lot of this! A little goes a long way! It lathers very nice. It also smells like a light, fresh, kind of minty clean scent. This is for normal/oily skin, but I have super dry skin and this didn't dry my skin out even more. My face was nice, tight, and shiney after using this! It took my makeup all off in one rinse!

Pros
  • Leaves skin looking radiant and glowing
Cons
  • Can be too lightweight for those with excessively oily skin

I’ve been using for over 10 yrs

This never dries out or irritates my skin yet it really dissolves oils. My pores are improved and skin is left soft but not coated.

Pros
  • No
Cons
  • May not effectively remove waterproof mascara

The best thing is the smell?!

This works very well for your skin.but I think the reason this got a 5 star rating is because of the smell. It's wonderful! The scientists who perfected this concoction did a great job.

Pros
  • Gentle formula that does not dry out or irritate the skin
Cons
  • Can be too drying in cooler, drier months

Wrong order good for me

I thought I had ordered the phiilosphy made simply regular face wash that you can use around your eyes. This has a different consistency. I am not fond of the texture of the fracrance of this product. I didn't want to go through the hastle to send it back and can't afford the product I wanted now.

Pros
  • Does not clog pores or contribute to breakouts
Cons
  • Not formulated for anti-aging concerns

Leaves you a fresh skin

I am always a big fan of Philosophy Purity Made Simple one step 3 in 1 facial cleanser and have been using it for years combined with Clarisonic Mia brush. This is my first time trying this oil free cleanser targeted for combination to oily skin. It did not disappoint me! It does its job very well and great on cleansing my makeup and dust off. Just as the 3 in 1 cleanser, it doesn’t create much bubbles. It’s more like a gel form of cleanser that creates a little foam when you rub in palms. I…

Pros
  • A little goes a long way, making it great value for money
Cons
  • May cause slight redness or sun sensitivity

Cleans well. Nice lather. Works on my sensative skin.

I have sensitive skin, so I’m always cautious about trying new products. I place a dab inside my wrist to make sure that it’s not going to cause problems. This one "passed the test”.I use a Shiseido cleansing massage brush with this cleanser. It has a nice lather. There is a slight fragrance, but it’s fine. I don’t know really what to call the smell. It’s neither floral nor citrus.I like the consistency of this cleanser. I’ve tried others which are either runny or too thick. But this one is…

Pros
  • Recommended by skincare professionals and loved by customers worldwide
Cons
  • Can sometimes leave an oily film on some skin types

Great Cleanser - my new review

This is a great oil free cleanser that is especially good since I have sensitive skin that is prone to flaring up and breaking out with many similiar products. This one is gentle and works and I highly recommend it.

Pros
  • Cleansers
Cons
  • Not suitable for those who prefer a foaming cleanser

Good for sensitive and oily skin

Product philosophy purity made simple oil free cleanser, 8 ozMy daughter's skin is above-average in oiliness and she also has sensitive skin and easily will break out depending on the skincare product. This one seemed to be a good fit for her and so far it is a good choice. She reports no redness/irritation or breakouts and it harmonizes with the other acne care products she routinely uses. Not overly drying either.Overall a good product that seems to be consistent with its purported claims…

Pros
  • Lightweight formula that does not feel heavy or oily on the skin
Cons
  • Might take longer to break down stubborn makeup products

Oil free but heavy on the alcohol

I have oily skin and I like products the have agents in them to help control the oil but I don' like using cleansers that strip all of the oil from my face because in return it's going to make my skin produce more oils to make up for the natural skin oils that it just lost thus creating a vicious cycle. If you want something that's going to strip the makeup off of your face this works really well for that but I would definitely go back in with a moisturizing facial cleanser or go heavy on the…
