OKADI Large Coffee Thermos Travel Review

The whole idea of a thermos is to have a fully sealed area for hot or cold liquids. Conveniently for OKADI, the thermos I bought started leaking a few days after my return deadline. "OKADI" is willing to give me a second free thermos to prove that my thermos is the exception and not the norm, I have no plans to buy another OKADI product.

I bought it for my husband. He loves it and is happy to have access to hot coffee throughout the day. He says it's easy to transport and can sometimes be left in your truck. The coffee is still great when he opens the thermos again. He doesn't use the mug that came with it, preferring to pour into his stainless steel travel mug. He says it's well made and does the job. Looks the same as in the photo. It's very big. Holds two and a half liters. Hope that helps!

We spent the winter on a kayak and I wanted a thermos flask that wasn't too big to hold the soup for the four of us. It was 40 degrees outside and the thermos sat on the bottom of my cold kayak hatch for 5-6 hours. The soup was deliciously hot! I'm very grateful that I took a chance and didn't go broke. (FYI, every time I use a thermos I fill it with boiling water and let it warm up a bit before using) I really like this thing!

I bought this thermos because I was tired of coffee at work and wanted to bring something from home. It's just the thing as it holds a full pot of coffee. The thermos does its job and keeps the temperature good all day. I've used it for both cold brewing and hot brewing. The cold holds the temperature a little better than the heat. At the end of a 9-hour workday, the hot coffee will still be hot, but not quite as hot as it would be in a thermos, but that's to be expected.

My husband often takes my grandchildren on ice fishing trips. I wanted a large thermos to send them hot chocolate. This one is perfect! It has already been used several times. Holds at least 10 cups. I filled it with hot (not boiling but steaming nicely) chocolate at 6am. He spends the whole day on an ice sled in temperatures of up to 15 degrees. I love this thermos. It keeps the coffee hot for over 12 hours. I love how big it is. The design of the thermos is great too You lift the lid and it has a spout built into the lid to pour the coffee out so you don't have to screw the lid on and remove it every time, but I'm really sad that now after a few months the lid is pretty strong is leaking: (I haven't abused it in any way or dropped it. This could be a good product for a small business as it holds 2.5L and pours coffee into cups fairly easily. I found it good for about 5 hours which may be enough for many. If you have a microwave handy, it might not be a big deal to keep it hot, but I also like hot coffee in the afternoon and don't have easy access to a microwave at work. The top opens well, but I can tell that a lot of heat is lost due to the poorly insulated plastic cover. I also doubt the plastic latches will last very long
