This is a great little pocket Dictaphone. I am amazed at the ease of use and clarity of this recorder. If you're in the market for one, don't miss this one, you won't be disappointed.

This voice recorder does everything it was designed to do. I use it to jot down the thoughts that come to mind when you don't have a pen and paper handy to jot down the daily memories you want to remember. Shopping lists, appointments, whatever. My friend recommended this model to me after she told her I needed a voice recorder for school. 3 words. AMAZING VOLUME QUALITY! And without headphones. While waiting for this one to arrive in the mail, I borrowed another from another friend. The recordings could only be heard through headphones. I love this recorder so far! :) It also comes with 2 free AAA batteries.

I bought a spare Olympus DS30 which I washed and dried. (tries to clean his tongue) This recorder was solid, made of metal, and could take a hit. The 7600, on the other hand, is made entirely of plastic. I don't think it will take long. Made in China and made of plastic. Hmmm. I bought a spare DS-30, 620 because it's metal. I'm selling you a 7600 for $30 and it's brand new. Well, except for the packaging, which I threw away.tlt-

I really like this voice recorder! There is a lot of storage space and it is very practical. It uses AA batteries which seem to last a long time compared to other electronics. However, be sure to read the information pack on deleting entries. I tried to figure this out on my own and failed terribly. XD Also, it's very intuitive and easy to use. It has a hold button, which is very useful when it's in a purse or backpack so it doesn't accidentally turn on.

I'm a writer and now I have three of these. When ideas for different projects come up, I take the appropriate voice recorder (each has a different colored rubber band over the control buttons), open the desired file and speak until there is nothing left to say. It's great to be able to voice my thoughts whether I'm in my office, at the airport or somewhere half asleep. Reading the reviews I had doubts, but I was pleasantly surprised by this voice recorder. It really does everything that is mentioned and the recording quality is excellent. I always carry it with me and have recorded university courses, conferences, interviews, etc. and no complaints. I have an Olympus VN-6200PC voice recorder which is identical to the VN-7600PC in every way except memory size and 7600s. the ability to record in MP3 format in addition to WMA. The storage capacity of the 7600 is twice that of the 6200.
