I'm a writer and now I have three of these. When ideas for different projects come up, I take the appropriate voice recorder (each has a different colored rubber band over the control buttons), open the desired file and speak until there is nothing left to say. It's great to be able to voice my thoughts whether I'm in my office, at the airport or somewhere half asleep. Dictaphones survived airport scans, stuffed into my backpack and dropped from time to time. All three were filled to capacity with records, then emptied and then filled up with new material.
