💪 Compact and Powerful: The Olympus L400 Ultra-Compact Microcassette Recorder Review

The product was fine except I bought it to replace my Olympus Pearlcorder L400 which broke when I dropped it. I have all the equipment (microphone, stand, remote control, electrical adapter) that doesn't work for the replacement I received last Monday. I have not yet contacted the seller to see if I can return it for a refund. I'm not entirely sure how to do this and would appreciate tips on how to do this.

I have bought L400 and 500 recorders and am disappointed with the sound quality of both. The 500 had a really "tinny" sound, unsuitable for dictation. The 400 has a loud motor hum on playback (which doesn't happen when I play the same tape on a Sony recorder) and a similar tinny sound. Olympus voice recorders appear to be well built, compact and great devices. But the sound quality is worse, so I don't recommend it until Olympus makes it better. I ordered this from Revain which had the best price online or anywhere. When I received it, I thought about sending it back for a few days. It has its own problems and is a bit "too" small for me.
