Imagine: First trip to Italy

I bought my Olympus Stylus Epic Zoom 80 in January to take with me on vacation to Italy. I do not regret it! It is lightweight and very convenient to carry in your handbag when not in use. I've used 400 speed and photographed through bus windows (no flash), on overcast days and even boating in the rain of the day and I've never had a problem. Operating the additional functions date, red-eye reduction, zoom and wide-angle was easy and quick to learn. Pictures at night were blurry - I didn't have

Pros
  • 35mm compact lens
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Every traveler's dream

I bought this Olympus solely based on the reviews posted on this site and I love it! I was a bit concerned as I didn't have time to test it out before taking it on vacation, but the photos looked amazing. This camera captured details that my old camera would have missed. It's also incredibly convenient because it's compact and doesn't require a carrying case. Simply hang around your neck with the included cord and get started! The only downside I would say is that when using the Nightshotโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Auto film loader, fast forward and rewind
Cons
  • I will add later

Outdated but suitable for point-and-shoot film cameras

This camera may be too old. It's quite big, you can hardly call it a compact camera. Also, the maximum aperture is only F4.5, so using high-speed film is recommended. The image quality is excellent, like that of a DSLR. Much better in fact than the results I can get from a similarly sized digital camera, especially at the end of the shorter zoom range. And the flash works fine. There's some red-eye, but overall it doesn't overexpose scenes like most flashes on smaller cameras. I have had thisโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Date imprint and self-timer
Cons
  • The list goes on.

What a great little camera

Takes great pictures. Survive the fall onto the sidewalk (drops from 2 feats off the bench). Withstands rain with no problems. Still takes great pictures. The small size is great and easy to use. The editor's review says the battery compartment is difficult to open - it's counterintuitive from the direction of the arrow (it looks straight), but look at the rear legs and you'll understand. The viewfinder is tiny but works great. The small size of the camera allows you to get 2-3 additional shots

Pros
  • 38 80mm 2x autofocus lens
Cons
  • Almost never
