I will never go back to shaving cream in a jar

This is my first shaving brush but so far so good. Produces a thick, fine foam. It is easy to clean and otherwise maintenance-free. Since it's synthetic, no animals were killed/enslaved to make it (which is nice). Furthermore, the fact that it was made in Italy gives me extra confidence in its origin, safety and the working conditions under which it was made. A few (actually 2) bristles fell out at first, but this is normal with almost any brush. The only thing this brush needs is a drying…

Pros
  • Useful not just for its intended purpose
Cons
  • There are bugs

Fine Brush - shaving brush

Update (10-2017): I've been using the second of these brushes for a year now and I'm completely satisfied. I went from a Merkur 34C through many razors to a Feather AS-D2 and a vintage Gillette toggle. I certainly don't use the same type of soap that I started using many years ago. But I still use this nice little brush. Update (5-2015): It's been almost 5 years and it's still my main brush up to 5 stars. There may be nicer brushes out there, but this is just exceptional value. Original review…

Cons
  • Almost everything is good

It just doesn't suit me.

Is ok but I have already replaced it and only use this to moisturize my face before lathering with another brand's brush. I wouldn't say this is a "bad" brush and others might like it. But for me it was too long in the bristles and made lathering difficult. I replaced it with Kent Synthetic which works much better for me.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly

Great brush! Made from all man-made materials for .

Great brush! Made from all man made materials for those who are kind to animals. Holds a good amount of water and produces a very luxurious lather. The nylon bristles do not retain bacteria and odors like some natural boar products.

Pros
  • 1 year trial
Cons
  • Available in white only

Good synthetic base brush.

Suitable for those who want synthetics. He's soft but tough. Odorless, easy to clean, I simply rinse and milk the bristles and shake the water onto the shower wall.

Pros
  • Absolute legend
Cons
  • High price

I was able to whip up TONS of great lathers with little effort

Although it looks a bit vulgar, this brush is phenomenal for soft creams. And for the price, it's hard to argue you can't afford it. I was able to whip up TONS of foam with very little effort. While it might not have enough base for hard soaps, it's very good for softer things. This was my first synthetic brush and I am very happy with it.

Pros
  • Great range
Cons
  • So-so

the boar head brush is better but I only lost ONE hair.

The secret of the creamy foam lies in the TIME. Stir the brush on the soap. Do this for a solid 30 seconds. even 60! The more you make it, the creamier it gets! Yes, the boar head brush is better, but I've only lost ONE hair on this brush so far, and that was at the very beginning. Since then, all the hair has stayed inside. Too bad it was a little. feels less rubbery so it's easier for me to lather, but it's perfect for what it does. Long lasting, lightweight and if you lather long enough…

Pros
  • A dream comes true
Cons
  • The secret

Good brush for shaving and depilating

This is a brush that will definitely take some getting used to if you normally use a badger hair brush. The brush looks great but is very, very soft. It seems to lather quite well. Although I'm glad I bought it.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Quick start guide

Really soft but good quality.

I bought this brush because I didn't like the hardness of my real badger hair brush and I wanted something softer that didn't shed as many fibers. Well, this brush is very soft. I wanted something softer (and to be honest the reviews said this brush was soft) but it's so soft I had a hard time lathering it up in a soap dish. Then it was more difficult to apply shaving foam to the face. I'm still giving it 4 stars because I've seen only one strand come loose in 4 uses, compared to 2-3 in 1 use…

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Unbelievable price
