Enhanced Axle Dust Shield by Omix-Ada - Model 16527.04 Review

As a result of using this product, I found that it was poorly made and did not fit properly. The installation process was frustrating and the shield did not appear to offer any real protection.

This part fitted perfectly, I took a 1 1/2 inch piece of pipe to attach it and it fitted perfectly onto the axle. At least I hope it gets the job done and gets the crap out of my '72 CJ5 axle tube. Many thanks to Dana Spicer for a product not available at my local parts store.

I have used this oil deflector (I don't know why they call it an oil deflector, once installed it is nowhere near oil free.) DANA 30 Jeep Front Axle 1984 CJ7 to replace rusty factory axles over 35 years old. They got on with the job easily, using a long length of intake pipe, a centerpiece hitch that slides securely on the axle with no wobble or looseness that I can feel. I would recommend this dust cover to anyone converting a DANA 30. It fits on the internal axis.
