Cheaply Made, Low-Quality Cable

Based on my observations, this cable is a complete disappointment. Despite claiming to be of industrial and scientific grade, the cable is poorly constructed and feels cheap. While it did connect my device to a power source, the charging rate was significantly slower than other comparable cables. The only positive aspect was the affordable price. I would not recommend this cable to anyone looking for reliable and fast charging capabilities.

Pros
  • Can charge Microsoft Surface devices with USB-C port, which normally would require an expensive Surface-specific charger.
Cons
  • Not compatible with any device other than Microsoft Surface with USB-C port.

Works very well, runs on 12V or 15V

Works very well, can negotiate 12v or 15v if available so very good product. Plug in the USB connector first, then connect it to the tablet. I love that I can carry around a much smaller adapter than the original Surface, and I can use this adapter with my phone too.

Pros
  • Computer Accessories and Peripherals
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Make sure your charger supports 15V/3A

I tested this cable with a 15V/2A charger (Apple 30W USB-C box) and the light on the cable just kept flashing and the surface pro wasn't charging. I have a RavPower 65W 4-port adapter (supporting 15V/3A mode), the cable works fine. Too bad the cable doesn't work in lower wattage modes as my original Surface Pro charger was only around 32W. It's also not clear if the cable supports higher power modes (like 65W from my new adapter). Otherwise it looks well made and magnetizes well in the port ofโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Cables and accessories
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled
