The left end of the rod is crooked at the seam. After tightening the hex bolt, the bolt would not loosen. The screw is most likely broken. Wouldn't recommend it.

I bought these for me and my wife. Constantly holding conventional handlebars causes back pain and numbness in the arms. This allows us to sit upright for some time without discomfort. They are very strong. All I had to do was cut off the matching bar with an Exacto knife.

As a mountain biker I enjoy climbs, including long climbs. These bar ends give me two additional hand positions - one at the top of the bar end with two fingers over the bend and two under. In another position, all fingers are under the crease. The bar ends improve my hand leverage and I'm happy with that. Bought it a month ago and used it on 4 off road trips. They took a little getting used to and I appreciate them when climbing. Not ultra light but light enough for my taste.
