I bought these because my truck was missing one. When the package arrived I went out and put it on only to find that only a small portion of the brass rod was visible which didn't match the others on the car. Anyway, for 99% of cars it will probably be fine.

I bought a truck and it didn't have a pair of valve stem caps. I wanted a good replacement that would create a good seal. I like these hats very much. They have a rubber grommet that sits perfectly on the end of the rod when fully screwed in. It has enough threads that it covers most of the stem and is fully bolted.

Much easier to unscrew and put on in cold weather. They also match the look of the Subaru OEM caps that the tire dealer likes to throw away every time I switch to/from winter snow to/from summer tires. I've installed them in all four of our cars. I probably should have bought more, expecting the tire guys to mix them up or throw them away.

I thought this might be a direct replacement for the high quality tire valve caps on my Subaru Outback. It's not like this. Some of the threaded ports on the Subaru tire valves are not closed while the Original Equipment Subaru Outback tire caps have all the tire valve threads closed. It's not the worst product though and I put them in my spares cupboard in the garage and they ended up being used.

My Ford service department likes to lose all the valve stem caps on my F150 every time I go for service. And my local auto parts stores only have short car hubcaps or dumb ones with flags or balls. These long valve stem caps are perfect for longer truck valve stems! Leaves no brass marks and fits snugly. There are enough caps in this pack that I can replace them all after a few visits to the service. I would recommend to anyone with a pickup.
