I was so excited to try this vinyl but was quickly disappointed when I cut my first template. The backing kept peeling off the vinyl and bubbling. I ended up using at least 32 inch vinyl. Because when I tried to take the vinyl off the mat, the bubbles and creases were so bad I couldn't remove them. The letters from my stencil were peeling and sticking to other parts of the project and I couldn't separate them. Tried 3 times and finally gave up and used the old vinyl I had.

I love this product but when you buy in small quantities they wrap/twist it too tight resulting in a lot of air bubbles and creases that need to be corrected with a vinyl cutter before cutting. If you are looking to purchase this product I recommend purchasing large rolls from a professional vinyl supplier such as a sign store or other large company. It was almost unusable, luckily I work with vinyl a lot and was able to put most of it to work for me.

Do not use. I've thought a lot, but no. You CANNOT use this as a stencil with paint. I've used other brands over the years with no problem. If the film runs longer than 5 minutes or so, it kind of dries up. I don't know what else to call it. When I started peeling it off the board BEFORE the paint was dry. It broke into pieces and by the time I was able to remove all the pieces the rest of the paint had dried and basically ruined the project.

I specifically ordered this item in place of many other Oramask versions because I wanted it to be on a cardboard base as stated in the item listing. But there is no core, meaning most of that roll of vinyl will be unusable. Unless vinyl has a large (3-4 inch) core, it will end up being wrapped very tightly, making it impossible to lay flat and can also cause wrinkles. Also, there was no transfer tape in my package.
