Oreck XL8000 Upright Hypo Allergenic PK8000 9DW Review

They don't fit in the plastic holder. When I bought the bag it was supposed to be for Oreck XL but it wasn't! The cardboard on the bag is about 1/4 inch thick. It's frustrating when you really need a bag and realize you've skimped on the wrong size materials. Now I have to start all over again. order again. Too late to come back and not worth my time. And it wasn't worth my time to write a review.

Of course, these bags are preferable to cyclone vacuum cleaners. If you remove the bag, it's a clean operation and dust doesn't get everywhere. Cyclones seem easy to clean, but emptying them completely is not easy. I prefer these bags as they are dust free all the time and filter dust out of the air and then can be easily disposed of. A MUST for people with allergies to house dust, pollen and house dust mites.

I have checked the model number of my Oreck vacuum against Revain's announcement of the required vacuum bags. The bags I received had the same matching/correct numbers. BUT. The cardboard plate on the back of the new bags, which is the attachment point, is NOT true to size! New bags do not have a sufficiently wide anchor plate. The bag doesn't want to stay. I now needed new bags so I had to use a Macgyver and cut the old bag's cardboard sheet as an adapter to attach the new bag to the vacuum…
