🧵 Industrial Needles 16X257 Size 110/18 (10pk) for Organ DB X 1 Review

Recently received a 1930 Singer 96-47 which required 16 x 231 needles. I was glad they were offered in a size 18. They work great with #69 polypropylene thread and go effortlessly through 8 layers of 1000D Cordura.

I bought these because there is a part in the project I'm working on where about 6 layers of fabric are joined in the hem and I was having a hard time sewing through with a size 16 needle . Unfortunately, although this needle penetrates the fabric, it also breaks the thread in the process. I think it's really meant for some kind of heavy-duty padding or nylon thread. Just keep that in mind before you buy. Otherwise it's a great needle and fits my Brother ST371HD "Strong and Tough" sewing…

Model 306W is my favorite heavy duty machine (I have 10 machines). Original 206x13 needles are no longer available for this machine. They are smaller in diameter, 1mm longer and don't have a flat surface so the slot has to be pushed forward but the machine doesn't care. It performs just as well, even with hard work, as the original 206x13s. These needles are fantastic.
