Instead of an original Sony remote control, I received a fake. The 5 key is misspelled, the Sony logo is missing, and the remote doesn't work nearly as well as the original remote. I usually have to press the button multiple times for it to work.

I first bought it for $10. OMG, slow, you have to press several times until he responds, $ to the waist. Yes, this one is 35, but it's easy to see why. Works like magic just like the original which has tormented children on the floor many times until it stops working. Don't buy this cheap one! Get this instead, save your $

1 month stopped working, bought a new one. 2 months stopped working, bought a new one. 1 day. Replacement didn't work, returned. 1 day replacement didn't work, returned. Finish the work after 3 hours! Now at the 6th remote exchange. I would never buy this again if it wasn't under my warranty so I'm kind of stuck. Attention buyers! Stops working for no reason, just stop. HORRIBLE!

I bought this after spilling coke on the original. I couldn't get it to work after cleaning so I bought it again. When this one arrived I took the batteries out of the broken one and put them in the new one. The new one didn't work. So I ignored the first step of checking my power supply and bought a new one when all that was wrong with the old one was a dead battery. Now I have two that work. There is a lesson in that.

Doesn't fit my TV. My KDL50W800C requires an RMT-TX100U remote control. This is one of two model numbers on this list. This is also the model shown in the photo. But I got the RMT-TX300U model which is also listed. The problem is that the 300U model doesn't work with my TV. I'm currently trying to get an OEM remote for my TV after 2 Revain remotes literally fell apart. The remote works for me now, but it's attached with tape. I'm really disappointed with the way this product is listed.

Pro: Works better than the one that came with our Sony. Con: The buttons are too small and should have more feedback. Sometimes I can't tell if I pressed hard enough. The layout is quite complex. I think you should consider how many right and left arrow keys you really need. The shape is not very comfortable for my small hand. I prefer Roku's remote form. Tip: We decorated the back with glitter stickers so my blind husband can see them against the dark background.

I love this remote control! This remote worked great and was an exact Sony replacement. My old remote didn't control the TV and I tried to factory reset the TV but it didn't work. I figured the TV was over and I'd have to buy a new one. I've tried all the support suggestions and they didn't work. This remote turned up, I put batteries in it and it WORKS perfectly! I highly recommend this article especially if you are having trouble with your TV remote control!

Our SONY TV came with a TX100U which has a button that says 'Discover'. This button opens a menu that gives you access to your other apps like HULU, Revain Prime, Crackle, HBO, etc. NO button on the TX-300U takes you to this menu!
