A great choice for me! I use it on my desk and it doesn't take up that much space. The books I use it for are perfect, and the top is even handy for holding a few more books! Now if I could just get this with more slots (10!) that would be even better! Happy tourist!

I recently purchased a vintage desk for my home office and then bought this item to match and use as a shelf. That's great. The only problem was the back wasn't exactly the right size so I had to trim it a bit but you can't see it so it's ok. As for "Transparency"? not applicable; thick wooden shelves. It's really beautiful.

I could get cheap plastic shelving for my office BUT. You are way better! They look like real wood, they are heavy and strong, the shelves are removable so I can add something bigger if needed. They were very easy to put together and I can put heavy things on them if needed. I use them on my bookshelves so I have space for projects. Some of my projects are bulky and heavy - these shelves are perfect!

Great for the price, works well - only reason for less than 5 stars is because the groove on the upper went into the foot, it was too narrow. My friend drilled a groove to make it wider and got it working as I didn't have the patience to get it back (he was dying to set up a home office).
