. 1 month trip in Europe and I love this backpack

After much research I chose the Osprey Fairview 40 for a 1 month trip in Europe and I love this backpack! When I got home, perfectly fit 6 T-shirts, 12 blouses, 2 pairs of jeans, 9 pairs of shorts, 2 dresses, 3 bikinis, 1 pair of sandals, 1 small towel, 2 books, a small cosmetic bag, a zipper with liquids, among others different articles. It was quite heavy to say the least, but still comfortable enough to carry 1-2 miles (for reference, I'm 5ft 5in and 125lbs). It was also great for carry-on…

We went on vacation for 2 weeks and it was perfect!

Went to Europe for 2 weeks. No hiking or anything - my husband and I just really wanted to pack light and be able to move around easily while we traveled and stayed in each location for about a day at a time. This bag was perfect. I bought this specifically because it fits in RyanAir's carry-on luggage (and they're pretty strict about bag sizes). The bag can be carried comfortably as a backpack or over the shoulder. I stored my clothes in vacuum bags in the large compartment and could add…

3 week trip to Central Asia

Bought after a long search. I used it on a 3 week trip to Central Asia, staying within the strict 8kg limit for European flights. I'm a 5'4" female and 130lbs. With 8kg full load I found it a bit heavy but the waist belt really helps. Fits 2 pants, 2 light sweaters, 4 short sleeve/2 long sleeve t-shirts, 5 socks/ 5 underwear, hiking boots, umbrella, small first aid kit, 1 liter toiletry bag packable by Gonex 40 liter backpack, guide book and a Canon DSLR with lens and camera case It is highly…

Perfect fit for this little nature lover

After much research I chose this backpack for my 2 week kayaking/hiking/glamping trip to the Galapagos Islands in December 2017. , a lighter weight backpack from REI , I had exactly what I needed including mask/snorkel/fins, binoculars and photo gear. There was even a place for clothes I brought as gifts. I'm 5ft 3in, 60 years old, adventurer. Ecuador was country #28. I haven't checked in luggage since the 90's so I'm VERY picky about my carry-on luggage. Over head bed but that was not allowed…

ALL WINNER!

We really enjoyed using this backpack for a little over two weeks in Europe. We bought it (and an Osprey Farpoint 40 for my husband) to serve the needs of smaller intra-European airlines like Alitalia and EasyJet. It was fine and they didn't give us any problems! Internal and external compression straps are a great bonus if you're too small. The added bonus of compression straps is that the zips can be hidden under the straps, so you don't have to worry as much about pickpockets on crowded…
