This is a nice little kit for repackaging your DSL. The case appears to be of decent quality (maybe not by Nintendo standards, but good) and is quite adequate in all respects. It has everything you need including new pins and springs for the shoulder buttons. I definitely recommend this one

The case was poorly made and cut the cable to my DS Lite, effectively ruining a working unit. So now I have to buy a new DS after disassembling it just to fix a broken hinge on the body. My son (who currently doesn't have a DS) is very disappointed as am I.

This product has all the parts needed but NO INSTRUCTIONS! My husband, who works with computers all day, very carefully, to the best of his knowledge, changed the shell and now the lock does not work at all. I would return the case but it still takes 2.5 hours to remove it from the block.

Just built DS lite with this shell. The transplant went fairly smoothly, although there are a few patches of plastic on the inside of the case that need to be scraped off with an X-acto blade to get it seated properly. The plastic of the case is actually a bit see-through, but that doesn't really bother me. Overall I am happy with this case. I wanted to buy something cheaper direct from China but I wanted in 2 days not a month. Not as good as the original Nintendo shell, but that's generally the case with aftermarket shells. The most annoying part of these setups is routing the top shield ribbon cable back through the hinge section.
