Excellent headlights at a great price

These are excellent headlights in every respect. Easy to install, very bright light with low power consumption and elegant low-profile design. The only downside after installing them in my hallway is that I now see how badly the walls need to be painted!

Pros
  • understandable also for the old
Cons
  • band

These great lights are

. I bought similar lights from Home Depot to use in my kitchen remodel, but when I installed them I couldn't open the cabinet doors because they were too thick. I found these headlights and they are half as thin. They look better than Home Depot, nice and bright. I'm very happy with these lights.

Pros
  • . Availability
Cons
  • . Socket required.

Very satisfied: cases and fairing kits

I usually stay away from products without reviews but I took a risk because of the advertised 5 year guarantee. And it has paid off. In fact, I'm now glad to be the first to review this product. I chose it because I have very little space where to install it. Next to it is an HVAC vent. Installation was easy. It came with extra hardware (like a crossbar and extra screws) but I didn't need them. I screwed mine right into the top of the box. Despite its small size, it is bright enough for my…

Easy Installation: Recessed Lighting

I previously bought a Parmida 6" with the same frame design. I found the slots for the lens retaining tabs to be so narrow I couldn't even put the tabs back in. I can't imagine how the installer put them in there - removing the lens to match the fixture was an issue. Decided to take a chance with this version of Ostwin anyway. Found the opposite situation. The lugs dangle so freely in the Grooves that there is no tension holding the lens in place, just push the lens and it will fall out (or an…

Pros
  • Quality Construction
Cons
  • There are imperfections

Easy to Install: Recessed Lighting

I previously bought a 6" Parmida with the same mounting design. I found the slots for the lens locking tabs to be so narrow I couldn't even put the lens tabs back in. I can't imagine how the installer put it there in the first place - removing the lens to install the light was a problem. In any case I decided to try this version of Ostwin.Found the opposite. The tabs dangle so freely in the slots that the lens is held tension free, just tap the lens and it will fall out (or an earthquake will rip

Pros
  • Universal Installation: Use this retrofit kit to install disc shaped LED downlights in traditional 4" recessed benches. Ideal for new construction and modernization. Also works as an E26 adapter
Cons
  • Requires socket

Excellent dimming capability

I wish LED lights had better dimmability. They have a noticeable threshold but actually dim better than 5% of full brightness. I have verified that they are stable by connecting 8 of them in parallel and they all work fine when dimmed between 5% and 100%. I intend to replace some of the other built in disc lights I have installed which dim to about 30% of full brightness before dimming. And other lights weren't reliably resetting at less than 30%. They seem to reload reliably at 5%. I wish the…
