🔧 Efficient Installation Tool for OTC 4722 Stinger Heavy-Duty CV Boot Clamp Review

It would be great if it had a center press to hold the clamp tab in place. I used it because I didn't have enough room to open the clamp pliers.

It's a lot easier than using those stupid pliers to upload resumes. Pliers require so much manual force to actually tighten the clamp. To do this, simply thread it through the loop on the clamp and tighten the screws until they stop. That saved me a lot of trouble.

I needed a powerful tool to help me install CV trunk straps on ATVs and side-by-sides. I was expecting a 2 or 3 inch tool. This thing is a lot bigger than I expected, but it's sturdy and looks like it could handle everyday mechanical use. I'm sure it will pay for itself after a few uses.

This tool is excellent for heavy duty VW trunk clamps. But first you need to do one thing: add a washer that will fit properly under the head of the lag bolt. When I first used it, I noticed that it became very difficult to rotate. As it turned out, the bolt bit into the tool, causing STRONG friction. A washer and some lube fixed it properly. If it wasn't for that I would have given 5 stars.

Worked very well for installing OEM (VERY hard plastic) CV Vari-Loc axle covers on my wife's Grand Cherokee. Bought 1 or 2 locally to make these boots, 7 they only broke and half bent the rings and messed up the rings. This one is very heavy and made the rings the first time with no problems once you understood how it works. As long as you don't use a sledgehammer on it, you'll have it for life. If you borrow it, you probably won't get it back.
