To protect electrical components in an outdoor machine project. It works well in snow and sleet to keep things dry. I wouldn't submerge it in water, but it does well in inclement weather.

The fit and finish of this box is very good. The lid and box fit very tightly and are waterproof. I will be using this for some of my amateur radio projects. Would be good indoors or outdoors. I would buy this product again.

This project box has very strong walls and enough space for my multi-board project (audio filter board, power management board and EL wire amplifier coils). As I will not be testing the project/box with water, my review there is based on a visual assessment of the product design.

Perfect size and dimensions for my project. Exactly! The lid is thicker than I initially thought, the box is very solid even with the 3" x 5" cut out and a few drilled holes for the switches. I couldn't have picked a more perfect box! The only nasty problem with a junction box is that it shows fingerprints and has an oily sheen.

Used this box to house the circuit board, ultrasonic range sensor and LCD display that connect my rowing machine to a Raspberry Pi4. This box is made of heavy plastic that can be modified with Dremel cutting discs, power drills and hand tools. Make sure to use low speed with power tools to minimize melting plastic.
