The remote works great but once I set it to turn on at 6:30 am I didn't need the remote. I like all settings, low light, constant light or flickering light. I just received them a month ago and the batteries are still working. I would definitely order them again.

LOVE IT! We live in Vegas - we can't make wax! I bought a few and they are in the lanterns on the balconies, in the garden, on the porch, hanging from the trees - they are awesome - they light up perfectly on the timer all within a minute - very cool! And the remote works from inside AND through the glass from 10ft away lol

You won't lead anyone to believe these are real candles but they are good and do what they are supposed to. I had no problems with all three. I originally bought them to put in light fixtures, then hung them on my front windshield over the holidays and now I use them when I need good mood lighting without using an actual candle. The remote control is very nice and I almost always use the "Flicker" setting.

I was pleased with this purchase based on the reviews but when I took it out and played with it I giggled with delight. They can be set to stay lit or flicker with candles. You have multiple settings from dark to light. You have multiple timer options. And they look absolutely amazing on my forked staircase. I turn on photos and videos while the hall lights are on and off. They're set to flicker about halfway down the bright setting. I apologize for the fluctuations.

These candles are unique in that the whole candle glows, not just the top where a real candle flame should be. I used them outside for a party as part of the centerpieces for several tables. I didn't have to worry about dripping wax or kids tugging at tablecloths and knocking over real candles with flames. They were perfect and lasted all evening without showing any signs of fading. The round tables filled our backyard and created a very festive atmosphere with our tiki torches and music!

The flickering occurs electrically through a slight dimming over time, since with some other models it is assumed that you actually have a mechanically moving flame. So this is a great decorative choice for year round use! You set it up once every time you change batteries (once a month for 8 hours of overnight operation), and then it turns on automatically at dusk and off at sunrise each night. This is without a doubt the brightest faux sparkly candle set I've ever bought and I've bought a lot of them. Also previous purchases tended to die out after a few battery changes but we are entering our 4th month and 5th replacement and all 3 are still working like
