The water inlet ring is too big and the paper gasket is not of very good quality. I think it might work if you could install an o-ring to direct the water into the groove.

Extra thin gasket. I would never trust this thing with my drive. Also, as another reviewer mentioned, it was folded in half so it tore at the crease. I doubt it was Revane's fault as the envelope was large enough to unfold.

So I got my gasket and o-ring kit today, most reviews say a paper thin gasket not paper thin looks pretty good. I'll install it tomorrow and see how it goes. The rings look fine.

Got this once for my Alpha 1 Gen 1. The Original Equipment Mercruiser/Quicksilver gasket has a rubber gasket around all edges, which pushes out the thin sides and ultimately does not seal. . The seal solves this problem. Buy two more for future use.

This product does NOT fit my Alpha 1 Gen 2 directly. Passing through the water jacket. Also, the rest of it didn't fit anywhere except for the water jacket o-ring, including any of the three driveshaft o-ring locations.

Gasket set looks ok. But there are 4 or 4 different models of Mercruiser sterndrives and the product description does not distinguish between them making it impossible to know if you are ordering the correct part. Well they sent me the wrong pads and I had to send them back. As a result, I missed the window in which I was supposed to get the boat back on the water. Very frustrating.
