I had a problem where small strands of hair fell out when brushing with an old comb, so I was looking for something new. After reading about the benefits of this type of brush, I was excited to try it. Now that I'm using this brush I don't see any small pieces breaking off and it just suits my hair better. As for other reviews stating that a part is missing, that's not the case. This is an air hole. In my opinion, this brush is worth the money.

To get rid of plastic I bought this comb when my favorite plastic "died". I like it a lot - it suits my very thick and long hair. However, a "bristle" or "pin" has already fallen out or fallen into part of the pad. (It just doesn't exist.) Also, a flat grip isn't as comfortable to grip as something with rounded edges on all sides. But it's a good brush and I'm glad I bought it.

EDIT: I loved this brush until the rubber came loose and I had to throw it away. It only lasted me a year and I had to buy a new one. Such a waste of money. Yes, it's great, but IT GOES NO FURTHER. I love my Tek. I will not buy any brush other than Tek. The best quality money can buy. I had severe hair loss and decided to use a wooden brush. My hair is much healthier now, less damaged. I've wanted a wooden brush for a long time but the cost put me off buying one. It's cheap, but the quality is really good. I have noticed that my hair has become a little less frizzy and static since using this brush. I have long thick wavy hair that frizzes easily so this is a huge plus for me. Feels like butter! And very gentle yet effective in massaging the scalp (other wooden brushes tend to be a little rough on the tip causing unnecessary scalp stiffness).
