I really liked this kettle - beautiful, boils water quickly, cordless and even the backlight is nice! However after VERY light use for about 14 months (maybe once every few weeks) the ON/OFF button stopped working - the kettle won't turn on at all. Disappointed, I will switch, albeit to a different brand. I really don't like waste - I don't want to buy things that don't last long before they have to be thrown away.

Bought this kettle 4 years ago and today it finally stopped working. It heats water well with daily use multiple times a day. I've never noticed rusting (I've seen other reviews saying they rust), there may have been manufacturing changes. I love that it lights up so you can see when it's cooking. This is my first kettle and I am very happy with the fact that it only has two buttons and heats the water quickly. Will be re-ordered and updated with comparison to the OG model

I am a big fan of kettles and I taught my friend how to use a kettle after she accidentally boiled a regular kettle before she died. This Ovente model offers great features at a great price. It heats up fairly quickly and is big enough to handle a couple of people who drink a lot of tea. Auto shut-off and boil-dry protection are must-have features for those who are a little sloppy. Aesthetically, I like the blue glow as it's warm and has a nice "click" once the water boils.

Nice and simple design. Heats a full pot in about 6-10 minutes. I thought about getting one with multiple heat settings (for tea, for example). But in the end after using it for 2 months it was simple and easy enough to use. Very practical with automatic switch-off. I had to boil it 3 times to get rid of the plastic/factory smell before using it, just a drop of dish soap (I overdid it and it was more like a crazy experiment).
