Bought and my "fried " hard drive from my .

Bought and took my "fried" hard drive out of my Mac Air. It was cheap compared to having to pay someone to extract my data, instead I just downloaded it as an external and was able to backup everything. Although I'm now looking to resell it if anyone wants to contact me! rstrittmatter@me.com.

Pros
  • beautiful thing
Cons
  • love

Works but flimsy design

This one definitely works but there is nothing inside to properly hold and protect the installed SSD as the fit is not quite tight. A small circuit board that is in the case came loose when I installed the SSD. However, it works fine. So it definitely works, but the design needs better quality control.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Can't remember

Overpriced but works

My 2011 Macbook Air "died" and I bought it to access it and see if the SSD works so I can get my files. Luckily my SSD was fine and the OWC Envoy ran like clockwork. It looks sleek, reminiscent a bit of the Mac Air's looks, but the quality of the materials feels cheap. However, in my research I didn't find too many alternatives for using a Mac Air 2011 SSD as an external drive and the ones I found on Ebay weren't much cheaper and much uglier (shipped from China). I recommend this product due to

Cons
  • New competitors are here

I really liked the look of this ramp and decided to try it on our aging dachshund. The ramp arrived with a dent at the top and the package was crumpled in one corner but since it still worked we decided to try it on our deck down to the grassy area. The first time our dog tried to walk up them, he let out a loud squeak and hobbled as he got to the top of the ramp. The surface was too rough for little paws and left claw marks where he climbed. He could never adapt to him, so he's in our garage…

Pros
  • Pretty package
Cons
  • I won't say anything

Now I have a good 126 gigabyte external hard drive.

If you know that this product is specifically for the 2010-2012 MacBook Air (I have the A1369) this little miracle will save your ass. I had a water stain with my Air and fried it immediately (thanks for not making a removable battery, Apple, so in the event of a splatter the computer will fry 99% of the time as you intended. There were plenty of splatters with my MacBook Pro and it kept coming). Apple "Genius" has stated that data recovery will cost at least $600 in the event of recovery…

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Minor issues
