Almost Perfect: Butter Plate

Searched/tested several items for storing butter (western and easter sized) and/or cream cheese, plastic (not glass/ceramic). This size fits all, flat on the sides so you can cut straight through, with two small protrusions/stoppers on the edges. Lid lifts easily (unlike other super tight/too tight that are difficult to open), lid sits on base and holds it in place (doesn't touch the butter/cream cheese). Highly recommend: strong, light and transparent lid that shows the oil

Love this butter dish - I use European oil (Kerry gold, etc.), which comes in blocks the size of cream cheese. This butter dish also fits two regular oriental buttersticks (long, so ideal for people who use a lot of butter, such as. This oiler will hold standard European (wide) oil but is narrow enough to fit in a standard oil compartment in a conventional refrigerator. It seems like most others don't.
